Texans, Laremy Tunsil Agree to Record Extension

NFL Offseason – The Houston Texans have signed left tackle Laremy Tunsil to a three-year extension worth $75 million, according to a a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Tunsil’s contract comes with $50 million fully guaranteed and $60 million in total guaranteed. The deal makes him the highest-paid tackle by APY with $25 million per year.

The Texans acquired Tunsil via a trade with the Miami Dolphins in 2019, starting 50 games for Houston over four seasons. In 2022, Tunsil finished with 15 total blocks and a 1.5% block rate—third lowest of his career—in Tunsil’s first season with at least 1,000 snaps.

Houston finished the 2022 season 31st in adjusted line yards and 13th in adjusted sack rate.
