“I Had Poor Performances In 1-2 Series And I Was Dropped…”- Shikhar Dhawan Makes A Staggering Remark

Punjab Kings (PBKS) are all set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 9th April (*Sunday). PBKS have been quite invincible in both matches & have outplayed the teams in both matches. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan has looked in top-notch form & has rotated his bowlers smartly. Shikhar Dhawan is the current orange cap holder with 126 runs in 2 matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is going through a phase of transition, they have a new head coach in the form of Brian Lara & skipper Aiden Markram. Aiden Markram will have a strenuous task on his hands. It won’t be wrong to say that Aiden Markram is in the form of his life after amassing runs in all the 3 formats of the game.

PBKS fans would be eagerly waiting for their star batter Liam Livingstone. Livingstone is yet to get a medical clearance, his presence on the team gives PBKS a bowling option as well. It would be interesting to see whether Bhanuka Rajapaksa is available for selection after coping with a blow on his forearm.

Shikhar Dhawan was having an interaction with “The Ranveer Show Hindi”. Shikhar Dhawan spoke about his omission from the ODI squad. Shikhar Dhawan at the same pointed out that Shubman Gill has earned his place in the Indian team.

“I’m not in the team. I was playing earlier, I was leading the Indian team. Now, I’m not there, I was dropped. Shubman is doing very good, and I had poor performances in 1-2 series, and I was dropped. But I can’t sit on it and be sad. But I don’t think about that,” said Shikhar Dhawan.

I’m like, ‘whatever’s the god has planned for me, it’s for my good’. So, I don’t feel bad about that. You can be no.1 in your field, and still be insecure. So, what’s the point of being that no.1 tag,” he added.

Delight for PBKS

PBKS would be aiming to make the most of this winning run as later in the tournament things can get ugly. PBKS head coach Trevor Bayliss & skipper Shikhar Dhawan would be considering making Sam Curran bat in the middle overs, he can provide stability against the spinners.

SRH fans would be hoping that the burden of captaincy doesn’t affect Markram’s natural game. SRH have got a good blend of youth in the form of Mayank Agarwal & Rahul Tripathi. The duo will have to make sure that they lay the foundation for the rest of the batters.
