Bray has been out of form of late, since their 1-0 victory over Athlone they were thrashed 6-0 by Galway,Β  knocked out of the Leinster Senior Cup Semi-Final being defeated 4-1 at home by Non-League Usher Celtic and drew 1-1 in Longford last Saturday.

Despite this, they still occupy third in the league albeit seven points behind Waterford in second. Bray will want a win on Friday to end their poor run of form.

Since appointing Keith Long, Waterford are showing everyone why they were once considered First Division favourites winning their last five matches most recently beating Athlone 4-3 on Friday after holding on to their 4-0 first-half lead, along with beating Treaty 4-1 away from home Monday Night.

Ronan Coughlan has been Waterford’s very own Haaland this season with 12 Goals and 2 Assists in 11 Games and 7 in his last 2.

Treaty v Kerry FC

Treaty has been poor this season with only seven points from their opening ten matches.

Signs seemed to have been improving following their dramatic 3-2 victory over Longford but are without a win in their three matches losing 2-0 to Finn Harps, drawing 1-1 with Cobh Ramblers and being battered 4-1 in Limerick by Waterford on Monday. A win for Treaty could mean they leapfrog Longford into eighth.

In their maiden League of Ireland, season Kerry has two points after ten matches into the season they are still without their first win. Despite this Kerry has been largely competitive in most of their matches and has been victims of being good but not quite good enough!

Expected to be battered by Galway last time out they actually took the lead on the 40th minute but Galway came back to win 4-1. Kerry will win a game soon.

Prediction

Treaty is without a win in three matches following their mini-revival before that. Kerry are without their first League of Ireland win but it is coming!

Galway United v Cobh Ramblers

Galway is 2/9, Cobh is 10/1Β  while the draw is 9/2.

Galway has a perfect ten wins from ten matches as they firmly establish themselves as being a different class to the rest of the First Division this season. In their last game v Kerry, they overcame a 1-0 deficit after 40 minutes to win the match 4-1 to show they are capable of winning from the front but also by coming from behind.

Galway averages three goals per game and only concedes 0.4 per game. Galway knows a win on Friday could increase their First Division lead to ten points.

Cobh following their excellent early season form have had a blip recently since their last win over Bray they have lost 3-1 to Waterford at home, losing in Athlone 2-0 and drawing 1-1 v Treaty last week at home. Despite this, If Cobh can win on Friday, their eighteen points total could put them as high as third.

Prediction

Galway will eventually lose. Just not today.

Athlone comes into the match after a dramatic 4-3 defeat away to Waterford.Β  In a game of two halves, Waterford went 4-0 inside 4-0 minutes, and Athlone won the second half themselves 3-0 to make the scoreline 4-3. Athlone is currently fifth with thirteen points from their opening ten matches.

A win for Athlone could bring them as high as third in the table and well in contention for a shock play-off place this season.

Wexford comes into this after a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Finn Harps their third defeat in their last five games. Wexford have eleven points from their opening ten matches and knows another victory on Friday could bring them up to fifth on the table.

Finn Harps have recovered from their 7-1 thrashing from Waterford at the end of March drawing 1-1 away to Kerry FC, a 2-0 home victory over Treaty and a 1-0 away win at Wexford last Friday Night.

Finn Harps have thirteen points from their opening nine matches and another victory could bring them as high as third and well in playoff contention.

Longford have been poor this season with six points in their opening nine matches they occupy 8th in the table with Treaty just below them on goal difference.Β  Β In their last performance, they had a 1-1 draw at home to Bray.

Josh Giurgi looks like a talent though with four goals and one assist this season already. Longford knows a win would help end their poor run of form and put them back in playoff contention.

Finn Harps 2-0 Longford Town
